How long have you dealt with the people at Blue Rock Insurance. How would you describe your relationship?
I would say about 15 years and in that time we have experienced a strong working relationship that grows stronger and stronger as our business grows and changes. Blue Rock have a clear understanding of our business and its operation.
Have you had to make an important claim? What happened, and what would the potential effect have been on your business?
Yes on the odd occasion we have made 2 or 3 claims over that 15 + years period and each time we have worked together to minimise the operational disruption to the hotel and our guests while reinstating the affected areas as quickly as possible. This has often reduced the downtime and any BI cost to insurance . So it’s a win win.
How did Blue Rock Insurance help?
They brought in the support where needed if that was required and advised clearly of the process to dealing with insurance & loss adjusters as the claim process moved through the various stages to conclusion. It was with great confidence that we had Blue Rock Insurance by our side , particularly as it is often a very stressful period in our working life.
What was the outcome of your claim? Were you satisfied with the result?
The claims were settled fairly . This may often be down to the preparation put into the policy wording at renewal or the work done for evidence to support the claim. A lot of preparation and effort is made to protect the hotel in these situations and a lot of effort is done within the hotel and the team to make sure procedures are in place to minimise interruption.
We are satisfied with the results overall. Sometimes compromises have to be made.
